The chlorinator operates on the all-vacuum system. The chlorinator operates on the all-vacuum system. The ejector/check valve assembly provides vacuum to allow regulator to open an inlet valve in the unit and draw gas from the cylinder through the metering tube; flow of gas is controlled and regulated by the rate valve, conveyed through the vacuum tubing into the ejector and finally into the water to be treated.

Two chlorinators mounted on two cylinders with switchover module feeding one remote meter with rate valve feed a single ejector.

The switchover module operates on the basis of a valve opening a port to allow one cylinder of gas to be used: when the cylinder, (#1) is empty, additional vacuum is created (by virtue of no gas pressure from cylinder #1) and the module flips over and opens a port to allow cylinder #2 to feed, and simultaneously closes the port from cylinder #1. Both cylinder valves must be open for the module to work. The same function is repeated when cylinder #2 empties; and, cylinder #1 will now feed.

Two chlorinators mounted on two cylinders with switchover module feeding one remote meter with rate valve feed a single ejector.

Each regulator is equipped with an internal switchover mechanism to automatically shift from standby to in-service upon depletion of the on-line cylinder. Each regulator has a status indicator to indicate standby or in-service operation. Each regulator incorporates a pressure relief (vent) valve with separate ports for gas fee and vent.
