The Foxcroft FX-1000p Chlorine Residual Analyzer utilizes the most accurate test method to determine chlorine residual levels in process waters, similar to that used in lab environment titrator test methods. This makes it an excellent choice for chlorine control or monitoring applications. Residual readings are instantaneous and do not rely on "sample and hold" methods. This minimizes any delay in readings for control applications. This minimizes any delay in readings for control applications. The continuous 4-20 milliamp output signal can be used to drive a chlorine residual control system and/or chart recorders or SCADA systems. The alarm output can alert plant operators to an out-of-range chlorine residual, or trigger an autodialer in remote or off-hour situations.
The measuring cell design incorporates several features to ensure accurate readings, such as; high-grade gold and copper electrodes, fixed sample and buffer feed rates, and continuous cell mixing and cleaning. Solid-state analog electronics provide stable, drift-free, residual readings and output signal. Electronic isolation eliminates problems from "gound-loop" and ensures operator safety.
The analyzer is designed to be relatively maintenance-free, other than adding vinegar as a pH buffer is sample, effective, economical, and environmentally friendly. Converting the analyzer to read total chlorine, is as simple as adding Potassium Iodide to the vinegar buffer.

White Distilled Vinegar The word above can't say or do enough. White distilled vinegar buffers and cleans like no buffering agent on the market. In drinking water it removes iron/ manganese deposits as well as area with a high amount of hydrogen sulphide. For probe style analyzers, membrane type as well as colorimetric type meters the organic substances above are problems. Wastewater plant and this type of industry oil and grease play a factor as well as all type of organic and inorganic material; probe style, membrane and colorimetric type meter all are affected. White distilled vinegar as a powerful cleaning agent prevents the build up of organic and well as inorganic material on the electrodes. It's inexpensive (cheap) and is found everywhere and the most important it is friendly to the environment. |

The FX-1000p Chlorine Analyzer is used to measure free or total chlorine in a treated water or wastewater sample. The system provides a 4-20mA analog output that tracks the measured residual chlorine over the factory-set 0-5.00 ppm (mg/l) measuring range (the system can be re-ranged in the field to any of its other measuring ranges). This output can be used to drive a residual chlorine control system (with compound-loop or setpoint a residual chlorine control system (with compound-loop or setpoint controllers), a chart recorder, telephone dialers, or a SCADA system. Four important factors enable the FX-1000p to provide drift-free measurement reading: 1. Buffers solutions feed rate is constant. 2. Flow rate to sample flow cell is kept constant. 3. Gold and copper electrodes are used to measure the residual chlorine. 4. The sample flow cell has a reliable cleaning method to keep the electrodes free of dirt, ensuring measurement accuracy. The distilled white vinegar buffer solution, small mixing balls, and process chlorine act together to keep the flow cell clean. |
